I will be:

* working up the courage to cycle into work
* running an ultra-marathon (I'm hoping the above will assist with training)

8 weeks ago yesterday, I came off my bike on my way home from work resulting in a cracked skull, separated clavicle and several cracked ribs. Yesterday I did a 14 mile ride with no problems, it was wonderful.

Thread resurrection alert
..
Use the interweb less, read more books
Talk to my new neighbours (already started with that)
Cycle more, 100 km in a day
I expect to achieve all of these. Is it good to set harder goals? Sometime I plan to do 100 miles in a day again

I’m not planning anything much more than a fortnight ahead. I think this pandemic situation has still got legs, and we won’t be anywhere near normality until this time in 2021.

And I’d like to finally crack 7000 miles for the year, got close several times, but need to finally do it.

Well, I didn’t manage to do any of that. We got away in January to the Cotswolds and did a nice long loop from Moreton in Marsh, over to Great Tew. Strava says this was my hilliest ride of the year. Then lockdown. Managed to get away in the van in July to Sandringham, did several rides including a ride over to Fakenham and a Loop of Breckland villages. Our final camping trip before the second lockdown was a few days in the Peak District, where we managed to do the Monsal and High Peak trails, towing our new puppy in her dog trailer. Still didn’t manage to crack 7000 miles, did 5850, which isn’t too bad under the circumstances.
