Does anyone have any experience of this newish folder, and/or with Btwin folders more generally? It's a higher-end addition to Decathlon's Btwin Tilt folding range that I think came out last summer. It seems pretty cheap compared to dedicated folding brands like Tern, Dahon and of course Brompton, though apart from its Sora rear mech I don't have a great understanding of how good the components, build quality and so on are.

I'm not too worried about the speed or size of the fold itself, within reason; this will be for occasional use on (non-packed) trains, not a regular commute. My priorities are rather something that is reasonably comfortable by folding bike standards for comparatively long rides, and that will not fall apart on me - in particular mid-ride! I intend to at least ride one around my local Decathlon (I don't think they let you do proper test rides) before buying to check the fit etc, in particular as it doesn't have an adjustable handlebar post. However it would be good to also know how it's worked out for people over the longer term, if there are any major red flags and so on.

(The advice on folder threads is often get a Brompton. To be clear, a Brompton is definitely out for me, as I don't need the very quick and neat fold that is one of the main selling points; I want a folder with 20" wheels; and while I realise they are good long-term value because of resale value etc, I don't have the upfront cash for one).

You can adjust the angle of the bars to the post, so effectively lower/raise them a bit. However the height of the actual post is fixed, as I understand it.

'Thoyle' is a Yorkshire word popular on these fora, meaning, 'I could afford it but I cannot justify buying it/choose not to buy it'

The Tilt isn’t a bad bit of kit. In comparison to something like a Brompton, there is a fair bit more ‘flex’ around the hinges, but it’s not overly dramatic. If you were coming from a Brompton, you’d probably hate it, but as a ( relatively) cheap folder, it’s fairly good VFM.
