I carry the usual toolkit but most importantly, a mobile phone, on the other end of which is my good lady wife with a set of car keys!

Seriously though I have been making my rides longer and longer but, until the last couple of weeks, my circles/spirals have been up to c12-14 miles but nor more than 4 miles from home, and therefore (for most of the ride) within walking distance back if necessary.

Spoke went , wheel very badly buckled 3 mile walk home
