yup
pretty much the same, if im doing that sort of distance will stop at the side of the road for 1 mins and eat a flapjack or summat , as i have been blessed with a small bladder ( my son had polycystic renal faillure so maybe im a carrier of the gene but not diagnosed with owt so that about my limit to be comfy without a bladder break .
Otherwise i only do 25-30 miles .
Mate just did a 100 and he said it was a real issue getting water.

Getting water isn't a problem. I can take it. Passing water is.

I think the longest I’ve done is 42 miles, and we managed to find a cafe doing takeaway coffee and flapjack. I don’t like doing more than 35 miles without a stop of some sort, and like to have a hot drink if I do stop. I’ve considered taking a flask If I can find one that fits in the bottle cage.

I’ve got an insulated bottle that I use in the winter, to stop my drink from freezing, but I find they aren’t good enough to keep a drink warm enough. I do have a Thermos steel flask that just about fits. If I put a plastic rather than metal bottle cage on, then it would probably be ok.

I've got a 500 ml Mountain Adventure flask which fits in a bottle cage it does about two mugs.i also put a toe strap around it to stop it rattling.

I have a life venture 500ml which fits perfectly.

I'm not saying it did happen yesterday while I was feeling peeved at No 10 staff making free with the "rules" but if I did go out yesterday, this is what I did, or would have done, which would have been breaking rules in Wales. If I did it.

https://cycle.travel/map/journey/154446

If I did it, the big climb was, or would have been, a sweaty business, and the 15 mile descent would have been a joy. Sandwiches and fruit consumed en route.

No compromises on distancing and no risks taken. If I did it. Not that I would, since my respect for those who make the rules is everything it ought to be.
