I've been cycling for 54 years and instinctively know my body is vulnerable to motorised traffic so ride defensively.

Oh what it must be to lead a life of pure leisure and never need to be anywhere at any particular time(!)

Plan the journey time to allow for delays, both expected and unexpected.

I had the same experience when reporting a recent left hook to Leics Police. They would not take it any further due to lack of an independent witness. But I’ve recently been thinking, since we were in a group of 6, only the front pair were directly affected (though we all had to brake sharply). If one of them had reported it, and I had been a witness, would that have worked?

Anyway, I have refitted my front and rear cameras, so that future incidents are recorded. And I’ve noticed that ChilliTech are selling their Bullet Cam at £39.99, so I might buy one as it’s lighter than my FLY12.
