Thanks Al! :D

As for Pork Hill, it's long as well as concave - in that it starts a long way back and gets steeper and steeper.
Later, it isn't so steep, but it goes on and on, and then you drop right down into Merrivale then hit a wall of a hill coming out and that tails off to less steep put goes on and on and on and on all the way to Rundlestone Cross.
Even before you get to Pork Hill, you have to climb the steep section up out of Tavistock on Mount Tavy Road. (aptly named)

You need to hope for a tail-wind! :D
Sideways winds are terrible up there, and headwinds make it almost unbearable. Very exposed and open.

The only downhill on the whole length between Tavi and Rundlestone is the plunge down into Merrivale.
Total length is 5.9miles and you climb from 300ft at Tavistock to over 1000ft before dropping into Merrivale at 650ft, then 1,500ft at Rundlestone.

Can Rosie sit on her pod and coast on the downhill sections, does it have brakes and steering. :D
A passing gentleman would have thrown her a lifeline and towed her up the hill.

Brakes downhill.
Calliper on the front wheel as I understand it from her, operated from a brake lever on the front push-frame.
I didn't look at the mechanisms, but I did ask her how she got down the hills.

............ and she's fit enough to have towed ME up the hills!

I no longer have any of my old 'Knacky mags' as some referred to them as, Fiesta April '84 if one is interested in research 8)

It's fantastic what she has achieved and continues to do, my mum also turning 70 this year has been extremely green/eco-friendly ever since I was a nipper, and a massive influence on my way of life/thinking about pollution/waste/energy use and saving.

Just got to wondering if anyone would pay for pictures of Mick F in the nude?

Sort of 'Chopper on a Chopper', perhaps?

Been on Moulton today.
42miles done.

I wore clothes for all of the ride, but nothing at all now that I'm home.
Shower shortly, and I'll be sitting outside on the patio to dry off .........

Dunno where the lovely Rosie is now, but she must be beyond Exeter by now.

Too much information there Mick, hope you didn't frighten Rosie away,
She was in Princetown yesterday at 14.07 buying some new socks. How many pairs will she get through before JOG. So may have only got as far as Moretonhampstead today. If anyone sees her please post it here so we can be updated. Dont know how often she updates her facebook page and she may not share it with everyone.

Might have pulled over behind a hedge and done a spot of nude sunbathing.......seems to be quite common down in the southern wastelands of England!

Mick, your recent posts have been dia-bolical.

Did Rosie give you a squint at her sprockets?

A nude ride from End to End; now there's a new record for someone to set. Unsupported, of course ...

Ouch!

She let me lift up her trailer.

Didn't the Naked Rambler do LEJOG in the buff?
Recently, a chap walked it in his underpants.
