Is Yarkshire in a different time zone? Perhaps it's not leaving the EU but since 11pm UK time is when we leave the EU it's adopted European time and it is 2021 there? You never know with those from Yarkshire, it could be the case!!

Have you always suffered from premature exultation?

Well I'm alone now finishing the rum I poured to toast the new year in. Bed calls and a lazy day today knowing I'm not going back to work tomorrow but two days later on the fourth.

The first couple of months or so of 2020 were ok.Bonefishblues wrote:Thank goodness we're rid of 2020
Sad to get rid of the whole year.

Good morning and a Happy, Healthy New Year to all.
Looking back at 2020 it first appears to be a wasted year and one I hope not to repeat.
On the positive side I now know what it’s like for goldfish in a bowl or rats on a wheel.
Discovered how much more money is in the bank when you do half the mileage with the car
Learned how to shop once a month
In a ten mile radius found tracks I hadn’t been on and I thought I’d done them all.
Ah well you know what thought did

Yes, HNY to you all.
Good things about this year (rather than focusing on all the rotten stuff).
Very healthy bank balance.
Happy dog coz he's been getting lots of walks.
Full larder and freezers, as we've been doing bulk shopping rather than twice or three times a week.
Best thing:
Absolutely no colds and chest infections - I'm perfectly well, unlike every other single winter where I suffer terribly. Clogged ears needing to be syringed, bronchitis, endless colds, sore throats, usually prescribed steroids and antibiotics after seemingly endless visits to the doctor.
None of it whatsoever this winter.
Why?
Social distancing generally, and not going to a busy overcrowded pub.
