Yorkshire Wolds Cycle way is my go to route for a few days. Whether camping or staying at pubs. Long enough, generally easy going with a few modest inclines, interesting, quiet, from Howardian Hills to coastal cliff tops. Accessible by train with many access points.

Assuming ‘Sheffield Wednesday Football Club Dan’(?) is setting off from South Yorkshire one-way train tickets can be had for around £15 with no change direct to Scarborough. If that goes along the East Coast line from Hull you could get off at, say, Hutton Cranswick or Bempton and ride to Huggate or wherever from there. Just a thought.
