Having spent some years at sea, we had a Decca and Loran.
When we entered the 20th century? we had Satnav. Seriously, going back to the late 1980s we had Satnav.
Last time I served in a ship was 1993 and we had Satnav then and Decca was long gone and so was Loran.
LoranC was better than Loran, and there was an updated Decca too ........... but pointless nowadays.
