Following on from measuring car passing distances from images: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=148481 (yes, I've spent the day looking at some German cycling software projects I got sent)
Byke - calculating the HappyBikeIndex of local cycling infrastructure https://github.com/schienenersatzverkehr/byke
This software uses an Android or iOS app to record a phone's GPS, Accelerometer and associated sensors (presumably mounted on the handlebars or seat post rather than on the person).
It then processes the output file to a format called GeoJSON showing the track, colour coded for HappyBikeIndex (i.e. how much vibration the sensors detected, filtered to ensure it is road noise causing it). The GeoJSON file can be overlaid on an OSM map using http://geojson.io
