Just to show that the Isle of Wight really does get snow!

Re: Cycling Pics
Good of you to name your bike after that great Olympian Eddie the Eagle....
...and to get him in the picture too.

Re: Cycling Pics
Sorry if you were offended in any way Matt.
I just thought it looked like Eddie in the picture. We were discussing him last week after watching the ski jumping feature on Ski Sunday, and I said it was one of the few things in life I wish I had the courage to attempt.
So, unlike some people's opinion of him, I'm a great admirer and my comment was not made in any derogatory way.
Perhaps you could explain why you've named your new bike so?

Re: Cycling Pics
Hi ya Fatso
No probs here at all
We are all friends
I am a big fan of Chris Black who posted his trip to India and beyond on CGOAB
He called his bike Hegar - and when I asked him for a name for my bike - also a Sardar - he suggested Lucky Eddie
Hegar is a Viking cartoon character who has a wee pal called - Lucky Eddie
And yes - I guess I do look a little like Eddie the Eagle in that picture but despite all the snow up here in Scotlandshire - I do not ski

..was this reply an innocent slip of the pen/keyboard or continuation of banter? Either way, it's all great fun

Well actually, I thought Matt must have found a picture of me somewhere, given his reply.
The biggest laugh is that I'm more the build of old Eddie the Eagle myself.
Now, if I could get someone to sponsor me going down the Cresta run, I reckon I might be on for a medal.

Jalan
I know those Swans and Coots well we pass by Horrocks's(and pulled my fair share of Tench and Carp out of there when a wer' o lad too ) on a regular basis.
PS, recognised it instantly as I was born and raised in Platt Bridge(but don't tell anyone )
