Car wing mirrors?
I can handle bars and cycle paths but I can't handle cars and psychopaths

That must have been very close, also if he didn't stop it would have been a crime,ie failing to stop after an accident, hope the driver did stop and apologise/refund you for the mirror.

Just sit back and think of his paintwork!

For the Brompton, try a Cyclestar:

If you use one with "neck" it folds back inside the Brompton fold and is out of the way

I like the idea of them, but do they work?

I most like the idea of a helmet-mounted RVM.

Anyone successfully using one?

Thanks folks.
I should coco.

Rear View Mirror

The Take-a-Look mirror is generally viewed as the best mirror in the US. I do know how difficult they are to get in the UK. They make two sizes (I use the smaller one). Eyeglass mounted. I think they can be mounted on the helmet, but am unsure about that.

They work great and I feel unsafe riding without one. Been using one for 30 years.

I don't use a helmet mounted one (I don't wear a helmet and if I did I'd be uncertain about fixing things.

But I do love my small B&M one (bar-end on drop bars) - very useful. Small but very effective.

I use a bar end mirror (dropped bars) - fits into the bar end.. I have a horror of taking a tumble and having a mirror mounted near my eye punching through my eyeball! If its on the bike, its always where its needed and away from my eyes

I use a bar end mirror - not sure but maybe the Cateye BM45 looking at pics.

One of the best things I ever bought for the bike

Does anyone know of a bar end mirror with a clamp to fit bars with bar end shifters??
Just remember, when you’re over the hill, you begin to pick up speed.

The Selle Italia eyelink is the best mirror for drop bars. A bit pricey though.

Take-a-Look makes a helmet mount, the mirror is the same, it fits glasses or attaches to the helmet mount.
I use a Chuck Harris* mirror, after 20+ years, I find myself trying to check my mirror when out walking,
it is like having eyes in the back of your head.

*Similar to Take mirror, but made with a bent spoke, Chuck would fit them for you, at time of purchase.
