Olympic Road race

Postby carlislemike » 23 Jul 2012, 8:31am

Ok. What is the best venue to watch it in S W London. Box Hill will be jammed so maybe nearer Hampton Court/Richmond. I guess the jobsworths will have closed all routes in these areas to justify their employment so any hints welcome. I seriously doubt that the Festival in Dorking area will be accessible by train & bike on the 28th. :?:

I suspect the best place to watch will be in front of your TV at home :) .

They are going through Richmond Park on both the outward and return leg, so that may be good. If you can get to somewhere on the Box Hill circuit, then you'll see them more often as the men are doing 9 laps of Box Hill. No chance of getting onto Box Hill itself unless you have a ticket.

Based on the test event last year, which I watched in Teddington (corner of Waldegrave Road/High Street/Park Road) - 15 seconds and its all over.

It will be nice to be part of the atmosphere - but you'll see more on telly.
