Advice on old model ridgeback

Post by Lio »

I'm trying to sort out an insurance claim for my bike that was stolen. It was a ridgeback but I can't remember the model name. I think I paid aorund £500-600 in 2000. It was a flat-bar alu commuter. It had no mudguards or rack. i think it may have been an 'element' but I'm not sure if that model was out then. The LBS where I bought it has shut down and i don't have any pics of it.

anyone got a clue what it was?

I'm also trying to find some pictures of my old bike. A Rigeback hybrid purchased in early 1997 for about £130. It was green if that helps!

Retrobike might be worth a try. http://www.retrobike.co.uk/search/index ... =ridgeback

Quite a few pages to plough through in search of back catalogues and/or photos of bikes, you just might find one like yours.

I've got a Ridgeback catalogue from 2002

Flat bar ally framed bikes in the price range from then are:
Supernova
Genesis Day 01

If you had a photo and/or original specs that might help further. Ridgeback did have online catalogues on their old site but no longer available, might be best to contact them direct.
