Bonnet surfing
Not recommended.
Moron* in a porsche thought that having me bonnet surf for 25-30 yards was preferable to exchanging insurance details after rear ending me...
Police have spoken to three independent witnesses, who somewhat disagree with the motorists description of events.
* Moron was the word used by one of the witnesses...

A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.

Which was what? "He looked tired so I thought I'd give him a lift..."
Glad you're ok.

What in the name of Puff's Holy Garters is anyone doing driving a Porsche in a country with a 70 mph blanket speed limit?

Glad you're OK. Almost as good an excuse as the "he jumped off his bike and threw himself into the hedge" claim by the motorist that knocked me off. And the worst part is I think they actually believe it!
Re: Bonnet surfing

You don't say whether he was caught, or stopped in the end. Was he questioned?
Unfortunately, I am not so sure about this- he'd perhaps just use being unable to clean his screen as an excuse to hit another cyclist, and likely get away with it.
