Mountain bike Frame identification
I picked up a steel mountain bike frame from eBay which I'm building a touring/expedition bike. It appears to be reasonable quality and has been nicely resprayed but all manuafacture markings were removed except for the frame number. I'd like to try to identify the manuafacture but no idea where to start. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated

If it's Bankrupt Surplus then they were Saracens.
Photos help immensely, also try the good folk on retrobike.co.uk

It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best,
since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.
Thus you remember them as they actually are...

Try the catalogue archives in Retrobike.
Hydroformed tubing, no canti bosses. Looks decent.
