Hi, I was out today and my bike completely broke and I had to ditch it so I need a new one ASAP. I don't do super heavy riding just messing around with some friends most of the time so I don't need a super durable one. I have £200 to spend max and have found a couple of ones that seem good for the money. Anyone have any opinions on these?
Also I am not willing to buy used as I don't know what has happened to the bike in the past and dont want it to fall apart but I have found an ebay listing which is the fourth link.
P.S I can't spend more than 200 pounds as I'm in college and this is coming out of my savings.

Welcome to the forum.

If you can find any of your choices in a local Sports Direct / Halfords store and go and look at them / test ride them. It will help inform your decision enormously.

Likewise the secondhand market, where examining the bike for signs of excessive wear to the drivetrain and/or potential crash damage can help you avoid a lemon.

If I'm right about your search area these two look interesting, if they are the right size for you and you don't need front suspension.

Look at secondhand, I suggest. Plenty of interesting stuff to be had for that kind of budget. Sorry, just re-read your post - ignore - or go with someone who knows about bikes, perhaps?

If buying at the £200 price point don't buy anything with supension as it'll be rubbish if new and most likely trashed if second hand.
The two bikes Gaz has pointed to on Ebay are way better than the the ones in the OP.

Go back, fish your old bike out of the ditch and fix it? It probably won't cost £200 and you will learn a lot that's useful. Then the next time you need a bike you will be able to buy used with confidence, knowing you can repair anything that goes wrong. Bikes, in my opinion anyway, shouldn't be disposable.
