change of use from 3 Bridleway to BOAT's

Post by Mel »

Hi there

I'm from Chesham and live on on a 60mph with no street lights. I love off road riding on the local Bridleways and get on really well with all that I meet, horses, walkers and dogs.

However the TRF have applied to have these bridleways changed to BOAT's.

I'm not sure that I fancy cycling these narrow, twisty paths knowing that at any moment I could meet a motorbike who can legally travel at up to 60mph.

Is there anything I can do.

The TRF are doing this all over the country to get as many tracks upgraded to 'BOAT' Status before the cut off date.

I don't think that many of them will be successful,

You must register your objection with the authority responsible for the particular byway, or at least ask them what the procedure for objection is.

We have had a gate put across one of ours already, which has never been there in 70 years.
