Middle ring for a M569 chainset

Post by barbelfisher »

Desperately seeking chain rings for a 1997 M569 LX chainset. I have managed to source a new outer ring from the US but still need the inner ring. Product no 1BD 9832 32 tooth 4 arm ring.

Lots of people do them: Middleburn, Black Spire, RaceFace for starters.

Avoid the Shimano ones, they are made of silver cheese they are so soft and wear rapidly. Try Wiggle or Chain Reaction if you want to buy on the internet.

..and it isn't even very tasty..... :mrgreen:

there is a handy table here;

and SJS have the correct (4x 104mm BCD) cheesy middle ring here;

but TA also make a harder wearing one in 7075

If you have bought a new big ring already then fair enough, but you can buy quite a nice new chainset for the price of two chainrings.

cheers
