29ers - odd looking?

Post by squeaker »

Out walking on the South Downs Way yesterday, and was struck (metaphysically) by how weird 29ers look, especially with small sized (eg small female) frames - the wheels just look too close together. Anyone else noticed this, or is it just a function of getting old?
(I do appreciate the irony involved as a post from one who uses a Marin East Peak off-road, and various recumbents on-road  )

The small ones look a little odd, but that's hardly surprising. The big ones don't, and that's not surprising either. :)

Not old enough I think. Having the wheels close together was once all the rage.
