Long distance off road

Hi, I'm planning on riding the south downs way for charity - Winchester - Eastbourne.. and then back again.... in one day! I know it’s going to be a slog and I know it’s going to take around 20 hours to do the 200 miles if all goes smoothly. Has anyone done this or similar or have any advice that's not don't bother you silly fool?
