Friend looking for good lights

I have a friend who is aiming at a local MTB event of around 6 hours, four of which will be after dark. She's asking for recommendations for lights, but I'm 100% roadie: I know that some super-bright lights exist but that's it. I'd be grateful for suggestions for both headlights and helmet lights.

Extra qualification: since we're in France, it'd have to be something internationally available.

Thanks in advance.

Are those things worth having? From the various comments re brackets etc they look like cheap muck.

I have a few and they are excellent.

Some batteries are better than others however, so I'd now buy from a UK supplier such as Amazon

I get >3 hours on maximum - about 900 real lumens (= Chinese lumens / 2 typically) using the Fenix BT20 750L as a benchmark.

You won't get better for the money IME

Hi,

I've been been using a set of ay-up lights for off road and commuting for the last two years. Very good service from Australia and they got very good reviews from mags - the when I was buying - the but things may have moved on considerably!
You can find their way range of lights here
