Hi,
Well done!
Running is very power sapping because you spend time air born, walking no.
So long runs tend to be brisk walks, especially if hills are involved.
Walked 46 miles in 16.5 hrs with camping kit etc, footpath mostly over the moors, coastal paths might be hard core, where I live there are many many steps as the terrain is so steep on the coast.

There is a guy down by me like that, he has done 2 10 in 10s, winning races all over the place. I did a 24 hour race that he did earlier in the year and he looked as smooth in the last couple of hours as I could ever hope to. The man is a metronome.

Re: Riding for 24 hours
Hi,
Well done, I wish I could run 20 k
Took the car for mot, this is always a brisk walk into nearest town, 1 mile exactly, in 12 minutes.
But it hurt and after a slower walk back to car I loitered for 30 minutes nattering.
Walked outside and my right foot was flapping on the pavement and at home could only lift my foot half the normal range.
Its ok now some ten hours later.
I am back to 5k training run walks but I might never get back to symptom free walking and running but plan to do more on foot this year to toughen my body up. This is since diagnosis of poor circulation in lower leg coming on for two years at least.
I can cycle easy but walk and run not good, it might get better but surgery will only be available if my limb is threatened.
If I don't do a long ride this year then I might never be able to.
Good luck with your running, calf injury would of been soft tissue muscle probably, which will heal in 5-7 days or its more serious.
How are your shoes, short runs need soft shoes longer 20 k need firmer ones.
