Best Cycling Shop/Repairs in Gtr Manchester

Post by rph82 »

Hi everyone.

I'm new here. I purchased a £2000 hybrid touring/racing bike in May 2015 - Van Nicholas frame. I've had a few repairs needed including a snapped chain. I'm looking for advice on the best cycling shop I can trust (and who knows what they are doing) in the Greater Manchester area. Any suggestions anyone?

Thanks
Richard

Depends on where you are, but if you're in the city centre then I'd recommend Keep Pedalling (on Hilton St/Stevenson Sq): I've only ever had excellent service there.

In the centre, Keep Pedalling as above.

Cooksons in Whitefield were our LBS for years.

Bit further out, Ride On in Rawtenstall.
Used them half a dozen times since moving and very impressed.

Genuinely cannot fault the three above - all have provided excellent service.

Evans on Deansgate have been excellent every time we've used them, their staff seem particularly well trained and knowledgeable for a larger shop.

I've had good service from Trifit in Failsworth in the past.

I'm a trendy consumer. Just look at my ONE A2003 using hovercraft full of eels.

+1 for Green Machine

Also Bicycle Doctor in Rusholme if you want someone on the south side of Manchester. I got my Circe tandem serviced there last year after a recommendation from one of Circe's dealers - "Without a doubt, Bicycle Doctor in Manchester would service an Alfine hub with their eyes shut and the rest of the bike stood on their head." :D

Never heard of this place, only round the corner from me, so will give it a go next time I need something doing, thanks for the heads up.
