Changing the logo at top of forum page in control panel

Post by Karen Sutton »

A few days ago someone helpfully posted instructions on how to replace the dreadful CUK logo with the phpBB tent via the User Control Panel.

I did this at the time but it has reverted back to the CUK one now. Has the facility to do this been disabled? I've tried different options to do it again without success. Perhaps it changes back when you are logged out ( which happens to me whenever I close down the forum on my tablet or PC).

Please can someone remind me how to do it and how to make it stay changed?

Thanks

The phpBB tent was not supposed to be there, the Forum is supposed to have a consistent logo whatever board style you choose.

You'll have to get used to the new logo, I'm afraid, or learn to ignore it...

You could install the Stylish browser add-on and hack it out using CSS if you thought that was the best use of your time :)

Indeed - I do exactly that to get rid of the Google doodles (call me a miserable old grump...).

Thank you. That is really odd. It worked on Sunday. If it wasn't meant to be there someone has now corrected it.

I won't get used to it. I would rather get used to not using the forum; as seeing it reminds me of what has happened. It isn't the logo which is a problem. It is what the powers in charge have become. The logo is a reminder of that which I don't need.

Yes, sorry, I corrected it today.

You could use a browser add-on to hide it in your personal browser.

I use Adblock's Block Image on the logo.
