Help! Folding instructions for 1970s Micro Folding Bike

I've just bought a 1970s micro folding bike manufactured by MCL Coleshill England, it seems fairly straightforward to fold but wondered what you are meant to do with the handlebars when the bike is folded up. Do they remove and clip against the frame?

Can any forum members advise please?
