Cycling app

Post by iehBerean »

I am just getting back into cycling, having recently bought an MTB. I would like a decent cycling app (with HRM) to use on my mobile. Can anyone kindly recommend a good one please? Thanks in advance :D

Personally I like Strava (free version) for the simplicity, and Back Country Navigator for the OS mapping.

Not sure if you need the pay version of Strava to use the hrm option...

I'm a trendy consumer. Just look at my wobbly using hovercraft full of eels.

When I use my phone as opposed to my GPS I also use Strava but without the heart rate as I don't have a Bluetooth heart rate strap. That said I have ANT+ HRM with my GPS and that gets captured by Strava with my free account.

A few other options which may be worth considering are RidewithGPS application, Runtastic have road and MTB apps and there is also Endomondo.
