Don't get bogged down with the terms and names, in practice it'll be a lot simpler than it sounds. The treasurer will be a requirement of the CTCs auditors. If you're handling no money it'll take someone a few minuets a year to fill out one form and let the AGM know there was no money, they won't even have to be there. If you can't find people to take on such simple tasks I don't think your club would get started under any circumstance. Sorry if that sounds blunt, but I've never seen anything thrive without people being prepared to give some time and effort and some of that will always be on things deemed unnecessary.
I am sure Simon is right. If you don't raise this sort of thing nobody will know. After all, the whole of your membership normally seems very laid back
that is truly, truly awful. But somebody had to do it.

Oh dear me! I'm going to have to go for a lie down now. Might just do 20 miles before lunch too.
Pop this back oop top like!
I would be interested in such a group. Happy to take on any sort of role that doesn't involve money (Legal problems doing that) and have use of a recumbent trike in Lancaster area. Would be very interested to know others ideas about transporting said beasts to the starting point of rides away from home.
Trice Q 2007 in inky blue (Quackers) Bacchetta Corsa 26 ATT (The Mad Weeble) Cube SL Team Cross (Rubberduckzilla) Homebaked tourer (The Duck's Dream) MTB mongrel (Harold the Flying Sheep)
I have come to the conclusion that CTC do not want too many groups like my suggestion. The need for four 'officers' and 'funds' and an AGM seem a hint too many for me to continue with the idea.
Thats disappointing! I will reread the posts over the weekend and I might volunteer for 'something'........... I'd happily attend an AGM, I might even be an 'officer', I might even sort the 'funds' paperwork - Come on people!
I'll be attending York Rally on my new Kettwiesel. If anyone interested in trikes or an expert on forming Members Groups sees me there I'd be glad to talk about either topic.
Hi Donald,
I'll be on the slow BHPC ride and wandering about the the Show on Saturday. I'll probably be the only Kett' rider but it's nickname is Tirpitz as it's big Grey and German so I should be easy to find. I'll keep an eye out for you. Geoff
