What's not to like? - As they say!

Did you look at the prices for the same items elsewhere? - I looked at a branded jacket in Cotswold last week (c£150) .... and the exact same item could be had from 3 other suppliers at between £110 and £125 .... so not really a "discount" benefit from Cotswold if the prices are inflated first.

This is what's not to like
I've just taken 2 random products
Montane fury2 C £90 less 15 % = £76:50 elsewhere £65
Berghaus Stormcloud Jacket C £80 less 15% =£68 elsewhere £58

Wild country hoolie 3etc £200, £170 after 15% discount. Best price elsewhere that I've seen was £189 when I last looked.

The thing about Cotswolds you have to compare prices elsewhere since they've got a very bad habit of inflating prices or just straightforward keeping to the RRP. It's actually rare to have to pay the full RRP these days, but if you do then the 15% discount can make it worthwhile.

In my example above the tent is sold at less than RRP widely but the Cotswolds discount is still the cheapest.

BTW you don't need to join CUK to get the same discount. Cotswolds offer it to so many membership organisations so you might find a cheaper membership fee that gets the same discount.

Like Evans cycle shops, you just need to be warm and standing up to get a discount at Cotswold - just ask - although seldom a real saving ... with the rare exception IME

When I looked simplyhike cost more and I don't use eBay. Using Google shopping I found nothing cheaper b than Cotswolds with discount. Of course these things change but as I said it was the cheapest when I looked.

Oh dear what have I started - all the Cotswold Leisure haters have crawled out of the woodwork- Please don't treat me like an idiot.Yes we spent hours on line - made two purchases and returned both because they didn't fit - why is cycling stuff all so small, garish and aimed at "road race wannabes" rather than middle aged tourists. We searched local cycle shops and spent an hour in Go Outdoors trying all sorts of stuff on. The Cotswold Leisure prices were only marginally more than Go Outdoors discount prices and with the CTC discount were substantially less and we got what we wanted.

If you arent a member there are plenty of other organisations that Cotswold have discount arrangements with..

I quite like Cotswold, they stock a wide range of kit which is generally excellent stuff.
