Hi all
I am hoping to cycle the outer Hebrides in May 2017.
To get home I am catching the ferry from Stornoway to Ullapool and then need to pick up the train at Dingwall
The main route seems to be the A835 ............as I normally try and avoid A roads I wondered if anyone has cycled this road and if so how busy is it.
Would appreciate and comments or other advice.
Many thanks for your time
Regards
Mike

I thought I had some photos of how nice that road is, but I don't! I cycled from Ullapool to Inverness after my Western Isles tour and I really enjoyed that road - yes, it was quiet...very quiet by England standards, once you get away from the ferry traffic and climb the long hill, you have so much down hill - it is very enjoyable!!

I have ridden that road a number of times .. in sunshine and snow .... it's an "A" road by description and default only ....enjoy it ...

Depending on the time of your train, you could get the bike bus to Dingwall.
A bike does more miles to the banana than a Porsche.
