Bike transport Ullapool to Inverness - Sharing Costs

I am looking for up to 4 others to share costs of bike transport from Ullapool to Inverness on Thursday 1st June leaving Ullapool at about 16.30. Let me know if you'r interested. Thanks, Paul

I presume you're aware of the summer bus service that will carry bicycles if given 24hrs notice.

That's what I thought but unfortunately DE coaches aren't running the bikebus this year. I spoke to them earlier in the week.

Did they offer any reasons or hope for the future?

Edit:- If you cycle as far as Garve you can take the train.

Why not just cycle the route? It's not too far, about 58 miles or so, with a bit of a hill initially upto Corrieshalloch Gorge and then more or less downhill.

I did it myself the other day on a fairly well laden tourer, left Ullapool at about 08:15 and was in Inverness just after 13:00. Reasonably quiet road except when the ferry traffic caught me up and it got a bit hectic for several minutes. Reasonably scenic route, especially when the sun is out....as it has been for the last 7 days, glorious weather,

Me too.
I've cycled it x2.
Last month at the end of my Hebredian Way trip.
Bit of a hill after 10 miles outside Ullapool but then almost all down hill.
Great SYH at Inverness.

The normal bus will take a bike or two, if you ask nicely. They get put in the luggage compartment under the bus. Me and a friend did this last week.
