Mick: it is rather worthy - low GI - but delicious.
It is Antony Worral-Thompson's recipe from his Low GI cookbook. I've tried Googling the recipe, if I have time next week I shall try and put it up here.
Wildduck: If you got on your bike ..... now! ..... there'd still be a piece left by the time you got here!

whats that then???
from the look of the tube the tear was a few mm long, but not like a hole when you get a thorn or glass in it. do you think it just got pinched?
A snakebite is a classic mountain bike tyre puncture, caused when you hit a bump too hard or the tyre is underinflated. The latter is the more usual cause. This can result in pinch punctures against the rim, which can be quite long, and normally occur in pairs, as if a snake has bitten the tube. One is always effectively away from where you would expect to see a "normal" puncture.

Just waiting for the kettle to boil for 3rd yes 3rd mug of tea just got back from a run to Chester set off at 6am this morning fabulous sun on the fields birds twittering NO CARS, got to Chester about 8.30 had a brew by the river and a chat with a nice lady from the Wirral left there about 9.00 and saunterd back home. I'm now going to try and get upstairs for a shower.
Damn, didn't get there for the cake! Not sure whther calories expended getting to Devon would have quite justified the calories from the cake.
Reminds me of a couple of weeks ago when I cycled almost 27 miles for a dozen eggs. I calculated that the calories from the eggs were roughly the same as the amount expended in getting them! I blame Mrs.Wildduck, its her fault for suggesting it!
Probably going to make my own cakes this afternoon. Some banana and sultana muffins I think when the TDF has finished.

Cooking some Tarka Dhall whilst re-installing Windows XP Pro SP2 for the gazillionth time in my life; this time on a PC that had a virus that the owner tried to fix with zero knowledge. Have cut my losses on repairing the OS as it is too mashed. Shame the spec of the PC would make a nice Ubuntu PC but the owner is strictly a windowholic - boring!
