My legs were a tad shaky after the miles and climbing especially as it was on my SS Fatbike and mainly on mud or sand. Global Fat Bike Day (weekend) - Swanage...

Rotherham Roller 091217 Start at S66 2NW.

Rotherham Roller Route.

Car parking on Sycamore Avenue (Our Place) or at Wickersley Park approx 400 mtrs from the start.

Do not be concerned by the A roads included, we are talking wide well surfaced roads with very light traffic, built for a mining industry that no longer exists. There are number of excellent cafes, especially at Oldcoats. We ride through Harworth, the site of the Tommy Simpson Memorial, and meander uphill for 15 miles from Tickhill to the finish.

Weather for the Roller is looking good.
Dry, sunny and cold .... Ideal winter cycling weather.
No snow until Sunday.
Jules and I (and baby no doubt) will be up and about from 0700hrs so early birds come in for a coffee etc.
House number 21, the one with the vehicles all over the frontage ............
With the surprise arrival of Baby Riley i have managed 17 miles on the bike in 2 weeks ( ) so i'm hoping Saturday won't be a TT ... :D

We are hoping to be with you around 9 - 9:30.

Lynda will be bringing a dozen of her famous mince pies - trust me, they are seriously good.

Had a great ride today with my fellow wimps, but it was cold.. very cold and it got colder if that's possible.
Stopped at Langold and Tickhill cafes.
An excellent day out with good company ......

Enjoyed today, apart from the cold, oh and the wind. Did I mention it was COLD.

The company lifted the spirits though!

Thanks for organising.

Likewise, had a very enjoyable ride with great company. Lynda had a nice relaxing day with Jules (thanks to Connor for all the drinks).
