Post by Mlu »

Hello guys,
I' d like to purchase a road bike and I found this RAPIDE RC1 with carbon frame from 2015:

Does enyone have experience with that? Is it a good buy?( in terms of build quality and reliability).I`m new to cycling so any advice is more than welcomed.
Thanks!

Obviously you will need to go and get someone to help you get a good fit.

On paper it sounds like a good buy for someone looking for that style of bike. But when you try it, look how close the toes of your shoes come to touching the front tyre when you turn the bars. If there is an overlap, as a new cyclist you are in danger of catching your foot on the road and taking a tumble.

Tiagra is good kit. All the listed components are good for that price.

Two main questions:
1 What kind of riding to you intend? All weather commuting, day rides, racing?
2 Does it fit you?
3 How fit are you?

It will be fine for light day rides in decent weather for a moderately fit person.
