Scenic start today, furious finish. Makes for an interesting next few days at least.

At least all the 'favourites' are a similar amount off the yellow. One does have to wonder if CF was 'targeted'' given the hate fuelled by the Badger and the French press.

Tour madness again, lots of over enthusiastic riders all wanting to make a mark, all wanting to make a show for prospective employers. Maybe the idea of neutralising the GC at say 10km on these silly sprint stages has some mileage.
Convention? what's that then?

There's on bike footage from the bike behind Froome, looks like he just got caught out on the outside of a bend whilst trying to move up. Will be interesting now Geraint Thomas has a lead on him, leads to trickier decisions needing to be made, although they'll probably try to put off having to make it.

Looked to me as if he tried to go through a non existent gap and came off the worse.

Isn’t that like saying " it’s crazy the sprint riders have to ride the full distance, why don’t they just wait on the 10k to go line and wait for the Peloton"?

I doubt at this point there is any decision to be made. It will still be Froome and G as the ever loyal lieutenant.nothing to worry about at this point in time.

If Team Sky ride a decent time trial today Geraint Thomas could well end up in yellow.

Yeah to make a move like that he obviously has a motor fitted or his meds finally kicked in - can't be real, no one can do that clean.

Ah, but of course he doesn't ride for Sky so no one will even think on those lines.

(I don't think that either but if it had been CF questions would be asked  )
