RN "If you can fix a bike..." ad.
RN "If you can fix a bike..." ad.
I've just seen a post on Facebook with a still from the Royal Navy "If you can fix a bike.." advert. Did a search, found the ad on YouTube and it appears to be genuine and not photoshopped. I am left wondering "How the hell did they manage to do this?"
I'm not old and cynical, I'm realistic!

I reckon the cranks don't match.
One is diamond, the other square, so they are 45degs out.

odd cranks; one with a 'square' orientation, and one with a 'diamond'. Good spot! One for the 'daft TV ads' thread this.
(like Mick says, x-posted)

These are attempts of the advertisers to create viral talking points. I think if one cares to look at the whole advert in detail there will be perhaps others.
I should coco.

Offset cranks are the new oval chainwheels for people with two different legs

Two different legs?
I have two legs, and they are mirror images of each other.
Does that make them different?

Yes, scientists suspect that left and right legs are different, one may be stronger or shorter than the other, you do not realise this yet but you need special expensive €€€ offset cranks to get the best performance

It's a bike for "Jake the peg" just awaits the fitting of the Third crank.

The question is though, if you can't fix a bike, what will happen when you get your hands on a destroyer?

Maybe Witherspoons would be a good place to seek people who can fix bikes, offer them the Queens shilling (5 pence)

You would have thought they would have managed to correct it after a year
