You can buy converters for any brakes to make them interact with the electrics. I needed them because I had integrated brakes and gear levers, but they are normally sold as converters for hydraulic brake levers. Same converter in both cases. I got them from Woosh as add-on to the kit, not sure if they stock them separately. http://wooshbikes.co.uk/cart/#/product/ ... r-hub-kits

You can make your own: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads ... hes.14044/

Ask a question at pedelecs and somebody will know how to source them.

may be right. It depends on what sort of connector you have from the sensor into the rest of the system. You could cut the cables and splice connectors from brake levers to the hydraulic switch, but probably easier to diy as above if you can't get exactly what you want.

You don't need to fit brake sensors on a PAS system, but it is recommended. I rode a tiny bit without before installing them; I wouldn't like to long term.

after looking around a bit further it seems the magic pie is not really popular or well adopted. It seems the bafang motors are verypopular and I've been eyeing the BBSHD now as it seems it has a ton of torque for climbing.

I'm still seeing if there is any way to derestrict the woosh bikes, if not then I'll follow the DIY route with a bafang most likely.

Woosh use Luishi controllers the software is set, some have a white data cable/connector for reprogramming but this is useless unless an authorised dealer who has the pc software programme from the manufacturer.

Woosh will not honour warranty if they find evidence of derestriction, AFAIK the only way to get more speed is via the lcd, try holding +/- buttons/pad at the same time for about 10secs to see if the screen moves to set up parameters.
