Re: Homebrew electric bike from Poland
Hi.
This is not an electric bike. The battery is intended for lighting only. I wrote in the section about Non-standard, Human Powered Vehicles.

Reminds me very much of the Batavus Bronco, that rode in. the early 70's

"Bronco"?
Presumably named such because the suspension was naff rather than the awesome power and centrifugal clutch...
Stuff had such optimistic names back then.
What seems weird is it has two drive chains - I don't remember other mopeds having two...
Did they?

Wasn't so much the name or style, but practicality, it was available, and in my budget at the right time.
Funnily enough it could matth the Yamaha FS1E that was the "fast" moped of the time
As to names, I still remember a fashion for "men related" names on cars, and a female presenters who reviewed the Ford Probe, who ended the review with:
"Then we have the name, I don't know why Ford didn't just come out with it and call it the Ford Penis"

Very nice attention to detail. Did you build the bike from scratch, or is it a customisation of an existing bike? What is the 'fuel tank' used for?
