Joystick Bicycle: evolution or bust?

This e-bike, designed and built entirely from recycled parts, top speed 60km/h, range 100km. I'm not sure if it really cuts the mustard, but the marketing is impressive,

Didn't see him pedal once and how do you stick your arm out to indicate turning right. :?
Better than a car though for commuting.

It's apparently pedal assist. I like the fact its built from entirely recycled parts. I guess in this guise it's set up for city centre commuting.

Bicycles are supposed to be easy to ride. The term 'fatal flaw' springs to mind.

Does it have electric brakes and steering? Don't think I'm ready for that.
