Reflector light

Hi folks

Any recommendations for a rear light/reflector combo that will attach to the plate on a pannier rack in place of the reflector (see photos)? Preferably ones that will clip on/off and have USB charging.

Someone in the UK probably sells the Axa Riff Steady.

Bigger branches of the Range have had two Dutch rear lights recently. The retro one is OK and the modern looking one is pretty good. Replaceable AAAs but they last for ages between charges.

All rack mounted with reflectors.

Note that it is designed for 50mm or 80mm spacing. Do check your rack some are possibly 100mm.

Why on earth bother clipping on and off for charging? These type of lights typically take 2 x AA batteries and last for several years with regular use.

Why on earth bother clipping on and off for charging? These type of lights typically take 2 x AA batteries and last for several years with regular use.

There are an awful lot of people riding round with AA-powered rear lights with several years old batteries that are very dim indeed.

They turn them off when standing above or in front of the light where the dimness isn't obvious, and when they come to turn it on, that batteries have had a rest so the light's bright for the first minute or two, and they think it's OK because it looks it.
At least with built-in rechargeables, you know you've got to charge it every few days and check the brightness properly.

Several years? Maybe if you don't go out after dark.
