old fashioned cycling cape** SORTED**

Postby yostumpy » 1 Feb 2019, 2:13pm

I'm after an XL old fashioned cape, NOT the lightweight plastic things, that fold up into a matchbox, but good old 'oilskin' type, of yesterday, hasn't got to be perfect, but has to be quite large, I'm 6'2" 14st on a touring bike, but not in an upright position. Oh! And YELLOW please.

Hi, yes thanks, but they come up small, ..review from carradice website

''Cons
Too small if you are over 6 ft
Pros
Good quality material
Good quality construction but if, like me you are over 6ft tall I think it is too short. Probably fine if you are medium height and ride a sit up style roadster, but I find the forward position adopted on my touring bike causes it to ride up on my back (its too short to sit on and pin to the saddle) and consequently leaves you exposed at the sides. Disappointing and further evidence that there is no such thing as "one size fits all"

I have the extra large one, I am 6' 3" and it is ok. The only thing I don't like is the hood can't be removed

I have an XL yellow oilskin cape without a hood. I'm 6'-1'' and it covered me,bars, saddle and traditional saddle bag.
