Done and dusted, 520km in the bag! What a great Christmas period for all - we were truly blessed for good weather this year! Story of the Summer too!

It will probably be well into tomorrow before I get to edit together my video from the final ride - yesterday. The Chalke and Cheese 200km audax; I was going up Cheddar Gorge at 7pm last night - very surreal especially in the thick fog half way up - and interestingly not as hard a climb as I imagined it would be.

Happy New Year everyone!

Finished it off this morning with a 2 hour ride around local roads to end up with 505km in total. I enjoyed it but I don't think I'll do it again as it takes up too much time.

Completed this afternoon with a fifth 100+km ride! 558 in total, over 300km in Austria/CH/FL which made it more enjoyable than slogging around the local lanes. With 5933m of climbing too I found it a fair challenge, in flatter lands it must be quite easy

All done at 555 km, that's my 6th badge, but it's time for something else. If I do it again it'll be part of something different.

Impressive, my 555 km included 2,600m climbing and I wasn't particularly avoiding hills.

I think the point is that getting out of the door is the biggest challenge - not the actual riding. Having scenic routes to ride makes that first bit a lot easier :)

First time taking part in the Festive 500, and oh yeah, such favourable weather this year; thoroughly enjoyed every minute. It was great to bundle it into a holiday away from home as well; so did lots of sight seeing and climbed some pretty gruelling climbs - especially in Cornwall!

Not me, though I hadn’t expected to yet, it’s been variable and with this being the first year it’s been optional they may have put off the order.

I thought the email was the prelude to a swift delivery, but after nearly 2 weeks I haven't received anything yet :(
