Neil Gunton coined that term about twenty years ago!

hi again, Very little that I have seen in the way of words during my 70 years is new, merely a hi-jacking of original language.
The only genuine novel point in modern vocabulary is the use of far too many acronyms, ad nauseum!
Coded talk at it's worst.
Even in the theatrical world things have merely been corrupted for P.C. type modernity. from Mrs Christmas to a Female Doctor Who, nothing innovative merely a sad corruption of original intellectual property. A tired Morecambe & Wise style dislocation of the order of notes, but then again that is all music really is, an ever repeated playing of the same notes, just not always in the same order!
Originality exists no longer. TTFN MM

I don't know when, but "there's no new thing under the sun" was being opined at least 24 centuries ago.
Everyone's ghast should get a good flabbering now and then.

The personnel con-sultant was on the phone
- I have a job that might suit you, do you know about mode?
- What is that, I heard of it somewhere, is it a computer programme?
- Mode, Fashion, you stupid boy! I think I shall seek a female applicant!, she bleated

Several meanings for one abbreviation

To avoid confusion one might use TTDC, The tragedy of drive-cycling

Got a lot to confess then?

I am lucky enough to be able to do most of my cycling and walking from my doorstep. Yesterday I walked across fields to the coastal path, then back following a different route. The car was unused all day. But a few days ago my wife and I drove to the Garw Valley to enjoy a walk in different scenery. I don't drive for the pleasure of driving. It is mostly a chore, a means to an end. I have no feeling of guilt over my rather modest car mileage. I use the car when it makes sense, and not when it doesn't. I'll be using it in about twenty minutes, and it will be the first time it has moved in about 36 hours, and my conscience will be clear on that score at least. Enjoy your Sunday.

I had not sinned much then, could have confessed sins not yet committed, used to do some drive-cycling, tragically

You are 'lucky', it is a choice too

CYCLING to the Literary Society meeting today, then CYCLING to a concert in a church, both free
