Best to buy locally, best choice + prices
Big bookshop at the train station

Entertainer, juvenile, curmudgeon, PoB, 30120
Cycling-of course, but it is far better on a Gillott

Are you planning just on following the Main -> Main-Danube canal -> Danube to Regensburg ??
Or are you after a more direct route ??
Look for the German D Route info.
The D5 will take you up the Main to Bamburg then the D11 roughly follows the canal south to the Danube.
Luck .......

Re: cycle route maps mainz frankfurt regensburg
You might already have route in mind but if not I could suggest this route I did in 2017.
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29624338
Basically following 4 well-marked cycle routes.
1) The D5 Main path along the river from Mainz to Wertheim
2) South from Wertheim on the Liebliches Taubertal path to Rothenburg
3) Along the Altmuhl path all the way to Kelheim on the Danube
4) D6 Danube path to Regensburg
I only use GPS but if you are looking for paper maps Bikeline do a nice series of map/guide books which you might be able to buy online. For example, https://www.esterbauer.com/db_detail.php?buecher_code=TAUBER

Most main stations in Germany will have a bookshop which will sell either Bikeline or Komapss maps/guides for main Cycle routes, normally on waterproof paper (wetterfest).
You're looking for Radtourenbücher (Bike Tour Book) or Radkarten (Bike Map).
Or Amazon.de will have them all available to order.

Have a look here http://www.radweit.de/index/routyber.html. You can download strip maps for various cycle routes in Germany

The cyclemaps for Germany are "ADFC-Radtourenkarte". Here you can see how the maps cover Germany. https://www.fahrrad-buecher-karten.de/d ... on_cut.jpg
It seems to me, you can also order them at Amazon UK. You also get them in Germany in bookstores and bigger fuelstation. But mainly for the local area. If you go in Frankfurt to Hugendubel https://goo.gl/maps/BhvmXHcVwETJo7Qf7 they might have all maps you need. The way from Mainz to Frankfurt is easy. Follow R3 along the river Main.
A different suggestion to come to Regensburg. Follow the Limes-Cycleway. Sometimes very steep, but very lonely, not so crowded like the routes along the rivers.
