It depends on what I had for lunch. :-)

As for the wood smell - mostly it gets sucked up with the dust by the enormous 3hp dust sucker.

Why do even grownups find some smells 'perfectly disgusting'?

Cire Trudon Ernesto candle. Evokes all manner of emotions and memories. Truly remarkable - sadly also remarkably expensive!

I'm a trendy consumer. Just look at my SM-G950F using hovercraft full of eels.

When will people realise fresh air doesn't have to have a smell. :)

Smells can be so evocative.
Patchouli is not really my favourite smell, but it reminds me of a certain young woman, long ago.
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

Liking the light from a flickering candle flame, as well as the shadow patches and warm ambience, candles have always been attractive - apart from their stink and smoke. In fact, the stink & smoke outweighs the nice aspects.

So imagine my delight to discover electronic candles, which are waxen items that look just like real candles but have a hollow core for the rechargeable AAA batteries, a small circuit board for making some form of flicker-light and a flame-shaped super-efficient LED that runs for 100 hours or more on two AAA rechargeable cells.

But do they look real, including both the things themselves and their lighting effects? They do!

And no stink; or black smoke clarting up the ceiling whilst making you cough & sneeze.

Cugel, with an C18th living room each evening (sort of).

Ha ha - me too. The 60s, eh? What a different age it was.

At the other cultural extreme, perhaps, I had a flashback to the early 60s whilst enjoying a large ice cream in Carmarthen a few days ago. They had bubblegum flavour! (Yes, I know). And it really was, including the smell. I haven't seen or smelt pink bubblegum for over 50 years but there it was, long-buried memories included, all within a delicious gelata rosa.

Freshly cut grass on a June or July morning reminds me of happy camping holidays.
The real natives hate the smell but the smell of peat smoke takes me back to happy carefree days.
A working whisky distillery is a living thing and at night particularly rumbles gently but also has a very characteristic smell. The smell is not of whisky itself but mostly feints which is an intermediated part of the process. Again happy memories.

hi,
Favourite smells.
I'm not sure what my favourite smells are, most posters are listing the ones which bring back memories. –
Warm engines.
Any smell coming out of the machine shop.
Wood smells.
Home cooking, even when I do it when I'm rubbish.
many smells seem to be imitated by things that grow. Not always that pleasant but one I have smelt smells like weed smoking type.
Never smoked the stuff that someone pointed out to me one day that smell, Once you smelt it you probably won't forget it.
No idea why the TV channel would smell or would smell any different from any other TV channel :(

Eight week old puppies to me always smelt sickly, That normally improves with age.
Farm grown puppies may well have a better smell.
