Hi,
I'm looking for adventurous tour suggestions in Europe (or potentially Morocco) of about a week duration.
I did trans-iceland last year, which was excellent. I'm looking for a similar mix of tarmac and unsealed roads (about 40/60 in iceland, but happy to do more gravel!)
. Some camping and some accommodation is fine. Warmer would be nice though!
Many thanks for any suggestions.
Matt

Pulling a couple from my own wishlist......
Have a look at https://www.biroto.eu/en/cycle-route/sp ... rt00002556 between Burgos & Alicante
Probably too long for 1 week, but you can start or end in different places. There's 2 variations of the route - all road or MTB. A bit of research and you can set your own parameters for what is on and off-road.
This is not a pilgrimage route.

Again, maybe a bit long for a week
They're certainly adventurous!

Italy has a huge network of gravel roads, what you see on the map as backroads are often unsurfaced.
L'Eroica is one such route https://eroica.cc/en/gaiole/permanent-route
as the Strada Bianchi is is similar country http://gfstradebianche.it/en/route/?refresh_ce-cp
I've just followed the Via Francigene https://www.viefrancigene.org/en/bicicletta/ from Siena to Rome. It was a good 50% of the time offroad, this kind of terrain.

I did Bilbao to Malaga in a week. It was a mix of good roads and gravel (which I wasn't expecting, and so I shredded a few tyres). I've done 20 E2E/C2C type tours and this was one of my favourites. So much so that I'm giving serious consideration to doing it again but on a gravel bike. E2E Italy is also great, but possibly a bit log for a week, my route was about 1,200 miles

The Atlas mountains in Morocco are good for a short adventurous tour. Have a trawl around on crazyguyonabike for ideas.
One link to your website is enough. G

If you want pure adventure then pick a region in your country of choice (or border region) and go your own way. You could do worse than the Piedmont, Italy. In the past 36 hours the woodland site was aglow with firefly when I arrived late. The “bridges” were barely passable. The mornings river bathe was as good as it gets and the distractionary fires I set made for a nice backdrop.

This. Spectacular landscapes, fantastic Berber hospitality. Other worldly. Cheap as chips.
