Just read about him in the Grauniad
He was voted 8th best-looking out of 199 world leaders
What does that make me?

The Grauniad reports on an Ernest Hemingway lookalike competition, I bet I am not the only curmudgeon on here who might be eligible

I was told I resembled Cliff Richard and a rugby player called Rory Underwood.

Cliff Richard has not gone bald so I certainly don't look like him now.

I'd walk a thousand miles not to look like my doppelgangers and used to do so. It's why I don't look like them now! I used to be able to mimic them too. I say them because there's two of them looking very similar.

As long as I resemble a cyclist, I don't care who I look like - but pity the poor so and so who might look like me!

A few weeks ago outside the theatre in Exeter a lady asked me if I was Michael Caine. I replied, "no but I am a cockney, he isnt" . My wife was always being told she closely resembled Leslie Caron (Gigi).

One bald, bespectacled old man with a grey beard and a fringe of grey hair looks very much another.

A resemblance I used to be saddled with, when I was a lot younger, was not one to be proud of, today. I remember, when I was in my 20s, cycling along, kids used to shout after me "Hey! Rolf Harris!"

Luckily I don't look in the least like him now. I think it was the beard, the glasses and the hairstyle that did it. Well, the beard has gone, I wear a different style of glasses now, and my hair is short and has turned grey.

I can't think of any doppelgangers of myself - not at the moment. Maybe I'll come up with someone...

A mate used to look like a cross between Freddy Mercury and Stalin.

Another guy Elvis and Vic Reeves at his height!

I'm the proclaimers, doesn't matter which. Or about 3 other guys in my area who look so alike to me that people I work with start chatting to them like they're me. Since I don't go into that town much I know there's others like me. Having a rather distinctive appearance I find that's very unusual. They say there's an exact doppelganger for everyone in the world but I've got 3 living in the same area.

I'm starting to look like the old man in the film "Up". My late father was a dead ringer for him, spooky. IGIMNCB MM
