I could write an essay about day 4 :D I probably have done many times and deleted it. If only deleting It from memory was as easy.

I can remember being witness to the bravest bit of cycling I have ever witnessed. How our injured rider kept going is beyond me.....that took determination

It showed to me the value of a back up team. For a rider 700mile from home with 7 broken ribs and a badly bruised hip could make a phone call and be rescued and taking with all his gear to the next campsite have someone pitch his tent and be entertained by his fellow riders was fantastic. Next day the caring was continued by one of our lady drivers taking the argumentative rider to hospital and spending most of the day with him was way beyond what could be expected.

Yes and always wins them. I admire strong confident women I married one but Jules Lynda and Callie make an unbeatable force.

It seems ironic that two of the four riders who were responsible for organising the ride were unable to complete. How many of you knew that the illness that struck on that dayreturned when we were at Tamworth. stopping him from riding that day
