Where is Third Crank?

Post by Mike Sales »

Does anybody know why Third Crank is no longer posting? I miss his informative, sensible posts.
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

Dunno.
I've not heard anything.

TC has taken time off from the forum a couple of times over the years. Maybe he needs some peace and quiet.

Early July? Let's hope a lot of the regulars are off on their bikes and giving the internet a miss. :D

A distinct possibility.

TC has had breaks before.

Also, he might be looking after grandkids?

I don't. Like others, every now and then, I notice someone hasn't been around for awhile, and check their profile.

Taking the register?

Some of us have been on here since way back when. Not just this forum from 2007, but the previous one and the previous one before that.
I got onto here maybe 2004 or even earlier. All that database has long since gone and consigned to the great internet in the sky.

What I feel is an issue, is that a few of us on here have known each other in a forum-sort-of-way for a dozen years. Very few of us have met each other personally ............. I met TC and Asdace and John1054, as well as Vorpal via Skipe, Si and a few others too. Spoke to Graham on the phone, and had PM's with lots of you.

The problem is if one of us stops posting ................. why?
TC has come off a couple of times, so it's not unusual for him.
What would you say if I stopped?

Hopefully, Mrs Mick F as a member on here as Burscough Girl may say if I've broken a leg or fallen off my bike, or feeling grumpy with the world, but it won't be her first consideration to come on here ........ and why should it be?

None of us are getting any younger, and I'm not suggesting TC has a health issue at all, but we are all human. Some of us want time out from the hustle and bustle of chatting on an internet forum about cycling ........... and Brexit.

With any luck, he's on a cruise somewhere enjoying the summer.

Like MickF,I to tend get a little concerned when someone who's been a forum member for a long time and then stops posting especially when they're what I'd consider a valuable and knowledgeable member.
TC has had health problems in recent years which is no secret as he's posted about them, which makes me that bit more concerned.
I hope he's just taking a bit of time off for a holiday doing a bit of birdwatching, which I know he enjoys with Mrs TC,and will be back soon :)

He’s still gone, though. No-one’s heard anything? I hope all’s alright.

I've heard from him. He's fine. Just busy with family life and not too inclined to spend time here at the moment. He's taken breaks before. I imagine he'll be back again.
