It isn't clear but does anyone know who or what company is doing the tracking?

Are you sure, that's 50mph average!

Yes, drafting a 18 wheel truck, but human powered

The velomobile record is 913 miles in 24 hours with no drafting going on, as a 4 man relay

So 'cycling' in the loosest sense in terms of achieving a speed/distance record, I couldn't think of anything more 'ugly', IMO it's simply not worthy of entry!

I agree, this is nothing to do with cycling as a sport.

These two guys had to pack today because one of the bikes became beyond repair. I rode with them the other day and they were beasts of bike their weight beyond lifting. They reached the Kinross area.

Redvee wrote:Two guys set off on Friday on an unofficial record attempt doing a leisurely 60-70 miles per day. The reason for the attempt being unofficial is that Guiness won't recognise their bikes cause the guys are doing the ride on tall bikes.

The start:

Venturing in Mick F's territory:

My neck of the woods today and I escorted them across Bristol, not helped by ER people on Bristol bridge:

Other than the unofficial record, the guys are also raising money for Changing Lives https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/tallbike

If you mean the A6 then yes. They've posted some hair raising pictures on twitter!

The tracking map appears to show the M6, but either way not for the faint of heart or the solo unsupported rider I think.

I don't do Twitter so unable to see the photos.
